Meet our founder and your instructor

Sophie Amelkin is a New York City–based crossover theater artist whose career spans Broadway, classical, and rock stages. She has toured internationally with a GRAMMY-winning rock band, performed Off-Broadway, and made her Carnegie Hall solo debut in Mozart’s Coronation Mass.
On the classical stage, she has sung with Skylark Vocal Ensemble (featured on their upcoming album La Vie en Rose), The Choir of Trinity Wall Street, Musica Sacra, Voices of Ascension, the Santa Fe Desert Chorale, and The Choir of the Washington National Cathedral.
Recent highlights include the title role in the new musical My Princess Diana, solo appearances in Libby Larsen’s The Magdalene, Paul John Rudoi’s Sermon on the Mount, and roles in Così fan tutte, La Rondine, and Le Nozze di Figaro. A semi-finalist in the American Traditions Vocal Competition, Sophie continues to bring her signature crossover artistry to stages worldwide.
